in QB online, why does revenue not show a negative sign?

Thanks for taking the time to post in the Community. I can share some information about revenue in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

Revenue is the total amount of income generated by the sale of goods or services related to the company's primary operations. The possible reason that it is not a negative in your account is that you're generating an income.

 

You can also track revenue by creating items and using them each time you make a sale, or by creating a revenue account.

 

You may open the Profit and Loss report to see your business' monthly revenue. I can guide you on how.

 

  1. In QBO, go to the Reports menu at the left pane.
  2. Click on Profit and Loss Detail.
  3. Go to the Customize button, then filter the report's period and the account you want to display under Filter.
  4. Hit Run report to refresh the page.
