On my desktop QB if I began to bill a client and they had an outstanding balance it would appear on same screen. this eliminated having multiple invoices for 1 client. i don't see that feature on QBO.

Thanks

Hello there, @TURFRANGER.

Just to make sure we're on the same page, are you referring to the invoices under the Outstanding Transactions section when utilizing the Receive Payment feature? If yes, please refer to the sample screenshot and details below.

When you create a new invoice/bill for your clients, the system will recognize them when you record a payment. With that, they will appear on the same screen.

QuickBooks has a way on how a user handles the payment they received. You can apply it to multiple invoices, previous bills, or the newly created transaction. To link the payments to the correct invoices, make sure to tick the appropriate invoice/s. Then, Save and close.

However, if you're referring to something else, we can isolate this one by logging in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser. Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox)
  • Control Option (Safari)

If it works, return to your default browser and clear its cache and cookies to refresh the system. This will also remove the older data which can potentially cause viewing and performance issues. However, if the issue persists, I'd recommend using other supported browsers.

Stay in touch if you still need help with this matter. You can also provide an attachment, so we'll be able to figure it out easily. Just make sure to cover important details. Take care and stay safe, TURFRANGER.
