Invoices vanished

We are suing a client for lack of payment on old invoices.  They requested copies of all out standing invoices--when I click the link for details on the invoice it gives me an error so all I have is a generic amount owed, not the details that were in the invoice that are required to justify payment.  How do I get them back?

Beforehand, may we know where and how you've tried viewing these invoices which resulted in this specific error? This way, we may be able to review and verify if there are similar cases we've received from other users.

 

In the meantime, let's run some troubleshooting steps to help rectify this error and the possibility of a browser issue. Sometimes stored cache files can cause interruptions while using our features. We'd suggest opening your QuickBooks Online account in a private browser. You can refer to these keyboard shortcuts to open one:

 

  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Safari: Command Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P

 

You can also try opening your account in a different browser. This could be an issue with the browser that you're using. Once it works from there, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache.
