I understand your sentiments, Tori. Don't worry, I've got the information needed so we can receive payments from your clients in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

With an active QuickBooks Payments account, we can process payments through credit and debit cards, ACH bank transfers, Paypal, and Venmo. QBSE Payments allows you to send invoices with a pay now link and accept online payments. Here's how to set it up:

  1. Go to the Invoices menu and select Create invoice.
  2. Under Ways to Pay, select Activate payments.
  3. The set-up window pops up, click Start on each section and fill out the necessary information.
  4. Click Activate Payments.

Depending on the product you're using and the payment type, deposit times may vary. For standard deposits, the payment is processed every day except for Sundays, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Instant deposits, on the other hand, process payments every day with no exemptions.

If you're new to Payments, the first set of payments will be deposited within five business days. While your account is being set up, these early deposits may take a little longer. Once everything's settled, we'll deposit customer payments much faster. Here's an article for a more detailed guide: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.

I've included a list of articles that may help you with the most commonly asked questions about QuickBooks Payments: QuickBooks Payments FAQ.
