Question

Is anyone else found that February's Sales Tax Liability Report is incorrectly reporting Taxable Sales.

The amount reported as "taxable" is actually the subtotal of the invoice/receipt.  The nontaxable portion is not reported as nontaxable. I have a case into QBO shupport to look into the problem but in the mean time I had to create a spreadsheet to manually calculate the actual taxable sales by opening everyone of the transactions and get the actual taxable sales from the body of the invoice/receipt.

Hi there, @sandy56.

We've received similar cases about the issue where the Sales Tax Liability report inaccurately reports the non-taxable portion (INV-100774). I recommend contacting our support so they can add you to the affected users list.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) company.
  2. Click on the Help (?) icon.
  3. Choose either tab to get started:
    • Assistant: Get quick, personalized answers. Select a suggested option, or type a question or topic you need help with. For further help, you can choose to Talk to a human.
    • Search: Search the QBO knowledge base directly, or select Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us.

Our support hours are as follows:

  • Plus, Essentials, Simple Start: Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 6 PM PT and Saturday 6 AM to 3 PM PT
  • Advanced: Any time, any day

Also, I suggest checking out these articles for more guidance on pulling up a Sales Tax Liability report:

You can always get back to this thread if you have any other concerns besides the Sales Tax Liability report. We're still ready to back you up.
