Question

Is anyone having an issue where the reports for tags show $0 for tagged items? Something is broken.

For example, I've tagged my investments which should total a couple thousand dollars, but when I go to reports > tags > it lists investments as $0. Same for other categories. Some categories are tabulated correctly, though. I have no idea why some of my tagged items have registered while others have not.

Hello there, laurelbeversdorf.

I've checked here on my end and found that there are no reported cases or ongoing investigations about this issue. Let's perform troubleshooting steps to determine if this problem is browser-related. Mostly, the unusual behaviors that occur in QBSE are caused by the accumulated cache and cookies.

Wec can start by accessing your account in a private window. This mode doesn't save your browsing history, cookies, and site data. Use the following shortcut keys to launch the window:

  • Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox)
  • Command + Shift + N (Safari)

After logging in, check the report again. If it's working fine, we need to go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete stored junk files. If the same thing happens, we can use other supported browsers. It could be that the browser you're currently using has temporary problems with the program.

Lastly, here's a reference that you can browse to learn how to get a detailed list of all your transactions: Export transactions and get reports in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Let me know below if you have more questions while working in QBSE. We're always here to help you sort it out.
