Is it possible to create a Budget vs. Actuals report using an essentials subscription to QuickBooks Online?

Let me share some information on how you can run the Budget vs. Actuals report in QuickBooks.

 

You'd want to create a Budget first so you can generate the Budget vs. Actuals report. Currently, the Budget feature is only available in QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced version.  You'll want to upgrade your subscription from Essentials to Plus or Advanced. Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Account and Settings.
  3. Select the Billing & Subscription tab.
  4. Scroll down to the QuickBooks section.
  5. Click Upgrade and enter the payment information.
  6. Select Confirm Upgrade.
