Is there a less-expensive alternative for my monthly subscription? The rate is going up to $35 a month plus the percentage of each payment received.

You have QBO Simple Start? You should consider switching to another brand. If your annual revenue <50K USD, you can use a free plan.

Another brand?  Do you mean another company other than QuickBooks, or another plan within QuickBooks?  Yes, my annual income is less than $50,000.

QB Solopreneur is the only option if you want to stay with QB product. Otherwise, switch to another program. Either way, you may need to convert your data to QB Desktop and use the trial version to be able to access your historical data for good. Then you'll start over in the new app.
