Hi there, @bhsptsoboostertr.

I'll share insights about creating subaccounts of your chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online.

Every parent account in QuickBooks is limited to having four (4) subaccounts under them. Even if the number of subaccounts is limited to 4 levels deep, you are still able to create more of these numbers without exceeding the usage limits.

To illustrate:

  • Parent 1
    • Sublevel 1
    • Sublevel 2
    • Sublevel 3
    • Sublevel 4
      • Sublevel 4.1
      • Sublevel 4.2
      • Sublevel 4.3
        • Sublevel 4.3.1
        • Sublevel 4.3.2
