Is there a P&L Detail report for QB simple start? I can't find it. I see a Balance Sheet Detail so why isn't there also a P&L Detail?

The Profit and Loss Detail report is currently unavailable in Quickbooks Online Simple Start. For time being, it is only available in Quickbooks Online Essentials, Plus, and Advanced. 

You may want to upgrade your plan to gain access to the Profit and Loss Detail report. 

Here's how:

   1. Go to the Gear icon.
   2. Select Account and settings.
   3. Select Billing & subscription.
   4. Click Upgrade your Plan.
