I do not want to do a manual count nor download transactions nor view pdf reports - the volume of transactions is large and transaction lines by account at lest triple that number. I merely need o knnow the NUMBER of transsactions posted to inform auditor.

Good question, mcglynnhaysandco.

I understand that having a report that will show the number of invoices, bills, and payments made over a given period saves you time. This isn't possible at the moment. However, customizing a report and exporting it to Excel will still allow you to obtain the information.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Run the Transaction List By Date report.
  3. Click Switch to classic view.
  4. Enter the correct reporting period.
  5. Choose Transaction Type from the Group by dropdown.
  6. Click the Customize button.
  7. Go to Filter section, then under Transaction Type, select the box for Invoice, Payments, Bills, and Bill Payments (Check and Credit Card).
  8. Hit Run report.
  9. Click the Export icon, then choose Export to Excel.

Highlight each transactions to see the number in the Count section.
