Question

Is there a report that gives me both auto and manual payroll funds required?

I have a mix of auto and manual payroll that is run weekly. I don't see any place where there is a report to get the info on funds required to fulfill the payroll. The paycheck list run 3 days prior to payroll shows only the manual one. I can go into auto payroll details to get the $ required and then look at the manual payroll and add all of that together, but thought that this would be something that QB would report. Am I missing something fundamental?

Hi there, @Nancy1520. I'm here to share some information about auto and manual payroll reports in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

If you've created the payroll at the same time, then you can run the Payroll summary report. Also, ensure that you've selected the correct date in running it.

Here's how you can run the report:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Find the Payroll section, then the Payroll Summary.
  3. Set a date range from the drop-down.
  4. Select a single employee or group of employees.
  5. Lastly, select Run Report.

Additionally, visit this article to learn more about exporting your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online. You can export them to Excel if you want to use your reports outside of QuickBooks.
