Is there a way to export general ledger details (all fields) in excel/csv? The current QBO gives a limit and only outputs what is displayed rather then entire record

I can certainly understand how the ability to export a general ledger with the entire details than having a limit on what outputs should be displayed. That said, I'd recommend sending feedback to our developers. They'll read your input and might consider it for future updates.

Here's how:

Click on the Gear icon.
Select Feedback under User Profile.
Share your feedback under the Feedback page.

For now, you can customize the General Ledger report and filter the necessary details before you export them to an Excel file. To export the General Ledger:

Go to the Reports menu on the left panel to enter General Ledger in the Find report by the name field.
This will take you to the actual report.
From there, click the Export icon and click the drop-down to select Export to Excel.
Open the spreadsheet and filter the data you want to show on the report.

Thanks, after some diagnosis i realized its driven from the 400k cell limit on export which would include rows + cols. The truncation at this stage of release I suppose is required on the end user parts thanks for that information, will hope to see this limit raised on the next release to allow SMB to scale with your platform and not scale out.
