Providing the best experience with the product is what we aim for, @pcchandf.

I know how beneficial it is to your business to make the Search feature shows the amount broken down by line. However, this option is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). As of the moment, we'll need to open per transaction to see the full details of the amounts. Also, we can only filter the amounts shown on the screenshot below:

With this said, I'd recommend sending this request straight to our product engineers through feedback. Sharing features and options that you would like implemented is how our engineers look for new product updates. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Then select Next to submit feedback.

If you need to place the amount column in the first part, then sort it in descending or ascending order. Here's how:

  1. Go to Accounting in the left panel, and choose Chart of Accounts.
  2. Locate the account you need, then select Run Report from the View Register drop-down.
  3. In the Report period fields, enter the dates you want.
  4. Click the Customize button and expand the Rows/Columns section.
  5. Select the Change columns link.
  6. Under the Select and reorder columns section, drag the Amount box to the top by pressing and holding the 9-dotted square.
  7. Click Run Report (see screenshot 1 below).
  8. When you back to the Account QuickReport page, choose the Sort arrow and pick Ascending or Descending (see screenshot 2).
