Is there a way to merge Accounting to my stand alone QB online payroll?

I currently have QBO Payroll and a desktop version of QB 2014.  So far, I have been unable to merge the two together.  When I add qb online "accounting " to my qbo account, I am not able to import my existing data as it tells me i must DELETE all my employees in QBO first.

 

Has anyone had any success with adding accounting to payroll and merging in your data?

I'm happy to provide some info about QuickBooks Online Payroll and QuickBooks Desktop.

 

At this time there isn't a way to merge your QuickBooks Online (QBO) Payroll with your QuickBooks Desktop account. While there are similarities between the Online and Desktop versions, they are designed to be two separately functioning entities.

 

In this instance, you may want to check out adding on QuickBooks Desktop Payroll to your existing Desktop account. The following link provides details about QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.
