Thanks for reaching out to the Community about your concern, julie-sasker-ows.

Did you encounter any errors when managing users? This can help identify if we have reported issues.

When adding or editing a user, make sure you have the admin or master admin rights. This is because they’re the ones who have access to the Manage Users feature.

If you’re already set as the admin, let’s perform the basic troubleshooting steps to get you back on track. You can start by opening the company using private browsing or incognito mode. This type of session allows QuickBooks to run without collecting data.

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

If you’re able to access the Manage Users option, clear the cache of the regular browser. This will help in downloading fresh copies of everything you see on the page. You can also run the Health Checkup Tool to determine any possible issues with the browser.

I’ve included some articles that cover all the details about access rights and steps to add/modify a user type.

Don’t hesitate to visit the Community again if you have concerns while working in QuickBooks. I’ll be right here to help you. Have a good one.
