Question

Just started 1/2022 but need to work on 2021 expenses

I just started with Quickbooks today.

I need to get my 2021 expenses determined.

When I set up, it loaded one month but I need to input the last year if possible.

Can this be done? What do I need to do. Pulling things from my credit card statement and my check book and some receipts. Can I input from the past year even though I didn't have Quickbooks last year?

Any quick help is much appreciated! Thanks!! I have Quickbooks online!

Yes, you can @Viennala.

I'll walk you through how to download and record past year's transactions into QuickBooks. Let's start with your bank account. You can use the WebConnect file to upload the oldest bank transactions.

Please refer to this article for the step-by-step instruction: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

After that, categorize and match them into your registers.

Once you're done, proceed with reconciling your account. Here's the link: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

About receipts, check out this guide: Upload your receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online.

I'm also adding this link here to help you in managing your QuickBooks account: Getting Started in QuickBooks Online.

Drop a reply if you have follow-up questions with your QuickBooks account and I'll be glad to answer them for you. Have a wonderful day ahead.
