Looking for a budget vs actual report with current month and ytd for the current fiscal year. Can't seem to find this even through customization.

We selected "Budget vs Actual" report within the standard reporting. We want to be able to select a month and see the YTD as well within same view.

Absolutely! I'm here to help you generate budget versus actual reports in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Imdylla8. This way, we can examine both reports effectively.

Running both reports simultaneously is not possible. As we are limited to selecting only one period at a time, you will need to generate each report for the respective periods separately. However, you can consolidate or merge the data by exporting both reports to Excel, where you can then tailor the information as needed.

Here's how:

  1. Log into your QBO account and navigate to Reports.
  2. Next, choose Budget vs. Actuals.
  3. On the Reports period, select the specified Month.
  4. Then Run the report.
  5. Finally, click Export to Excel.

And for the Year-to-date:

  1. Next, choose Budget vs. Actuals.
  2. On the Reports period, select the specified Year-to-date.
  3. Then Run the report.
  4. Finally, click Export to Excel.

To find out more about downloading reports, take a look at this article: Export reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online.

Refer to this article for the detailed steps for memorizing and saving its current customization settings: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Please update me on how everything turned out and feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions about running reports or any other QuickBooks issues. This conversation is always available for you.

This was available in Desktop.  No reason it cannot be created here.  It seems like to move to Online was a bait and switch.  Not a happy customer.
