I am the primary admin profile. When I go to edit users (access etc), there is no action button per the help video on the right hand side. How do I fix this?

So glad you joined us here in the Community, Mark! I've got some troubleshooting steps you can perform to help fix this missing button issue. 

 

Most common issues in QBO are usually a result of too much accumulated historical data. Whenever you visit a website, it saves some information from the web page in its cache and cookies. These files allow the websites you visit most often to load faster. Not to worry, clearing them will do the trick.

 

First, let's try accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:

 

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

 

If the button exists, I recommend clearing your browser's cache so you can access QuickBooks with a clean slate. You can also use a different supported one.

 

Additionally, if you need to change the primary admin, you can transfer this role to another QuickBooks user.

If I have 2 accounts receivables or more in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise How to give permission my users only one account access of those accounts?

Welcome back to the QuickBooks Community, Arwah.  I'll share details on how user permission works in QuickBooks Desktop. I'll ensure you can send feedback so your suggestion is forwarded to the Product Development Team.

 

You can always manage users' roles and limit their access to specific tasks in QuickBooks. You can also choose what users can see and do within different areas of QuickBooks, like customers and sales, vendors' purchases, and accounts. 

 

However, giving users permission to only access one of the accounts receivable is currently unavailable. This is because once your user has access to accounts in QBDT, they will be able to see all of the accounts that have been created.

 

For now, I suggest going to the Help icon in QBDT and choose Send Feedback to submit a request about having the option to give users permission to only access one account. Any recommendations are sent to our engineers for consideration in future updates.
