I'm deeply sorry for your loss, Kismetique. Directly merging company accounts is not supported in QuickBooks Online (QBO), but I can offer an alternative solution to help you manage this transition smoothly.
You can explore a third-party app that offers data migration services to assist with this transfer. To look for a third-party app, here's the detailed steps:
- Go to the Apps menu on the left navigation bar.
- Click on the Find Apps tab.
- Search for the app you wish to connect to in the search bar or select the Browse category dropdown to search for an app by category.
- Select the app you wish to download.
- Hit on Get App Now.
- Authorize the app to connect to your QBO.
- Follow the remaining steps to connect and set up the app settings of your choice.
Alternatively, you can visit our QuickBooks App Store website directly and select an app that best suits your business from the CATEGORIES section. You can also manage all third-party app connections in the My Apps tab.
I'll share these additional resources about managing third-party app integrations within QBO.
You may also want to consider manually uploading transactions. QBO can download the latest 90-day transactions, depending on the bank. After uploading them, you can review the uploaded files and categorize them.
Once done, reconcile them to help your book balance and track accurately. You may visit this article: Reconcile an account in QBO.
You can always ask away if you have questions about merging accounts in QBO or other concerns with your data, entries, and other things. I'll keep the thread open so you can comment back.
