Moving from one QBO to a new QBO account

When the organization received a QBO Plus subscription through Techsoup, I did not realize that using my personal name and phone number would connect QBO to my personal Intuit account.  The organization now has organization emails and a phone number.  Techsoup sent me a new subscription number to start over.

How do I move all the transactions, data, chart of accounts, etc from the old QBO to the new QBO.

There's no direct data migration feature between QuickBooks Online accounts, Ellwood. However, you can transfer information by exporting lists from your current account and then importing them into your new subscription.

I'll provide the details on how you can do that.

First, follow these steps on how to export the list to Excel:

  1. Go to the Gear or Settings ⚙ icon and select Export data.
  2. Select the reason for exporting, then choose Continue.
  3. Proceed to the Lists tab, then add or remove lists by turning the switch on or off.
  4. Click Export to Excel.
  5. Choose OK to make sure that it’s done.

@Ellwood

Another option, purchase a 3rd party migration service.
