Question

My bank connection is broken. I can login to my account from my bank's portal. My bank IT dept assures me there are no changes on their end. Can anyone advise?

We can refresh the connection, aric-pryor.

I appreciate that you've reached out to your bank if there are any changes made to their system. Before we start, I'd like to verify the bank's name you're trying to get connected to so I can check if there are any issues similar to yours.

We can refresh the connection by manually updating the bank and get the recent available transactions. Just log in to QuickBooks and from the Banking page, select the bank. At the upper-right click Update. Try to see if there are new transactions being downloaded. If you get the same thing, you can disconnect and connect the bank again. Just a heads up, all transactions that are in the For Review tab will be wiped out. You can categorize those first so they'll be added or match to your bank's register.

Then, you can follow these steps on how to disconnect the bank connection:

  1. From the Banking page, click the bank.
  2. At the upper-right of the bank tile, click the pencil icon.
  3. Select Edit account info
  4. Check the Disconnect this account on save box.
  5. Click Save and close.

After that, connect the bank the usual way by clicking Add account still from the Banking page. If you don't want to disconnect yet, you can manually upload bank transactions

I'm just here if you need anything else. You take care and stay safe!
