I use a few different gmails in Quickbooks. 1 for estimating (works fine) 1 is my personal gmail (works fine) and 1 for invoicing (will no longer send forms). I used my invoicing gmail a week ago to send an invoice and it worked fine but i did have to change the password for it a few days later and now it wont let me update it in quickbooks. I also cant add any other gmail. I get a message saying my default browser doesnt support webmail authorization but i did not change any settings. We host our quickbooks in right networks and im unsure if the problem lies in quickbooks or right networks. I deleted and tried to add the gmail again with and without the enhanced security and it still wont send forms. I also called support and didnt get anywhere and i think the guy hung up on me when he ran out of ideas. Also when i logged into quickbooks yesterday it said it needed to update my company file so i hit ok. That could be the issue too. A glitch in the update? Thanks in advance.

Hello, ewright12.

We didn't have any reported issues regarding the current and last update when sending forms. I appreciate doing the steps and taking the time to contact our support person. Being hung up on is not what we want to happen. I'd like to make it up to you here by helping you fix this.

You might've already tried this when you called in, but have you checked the settings in your invoicing Gmail account? If not, check to see if there are options where the system prevents you from using any third-party connections.

Good work on updating the company file. It's one way to avoid issues when using the program. Another thing to look out for is the Internet Explorer settings. QuickBooks uses it to access the internet to send your forms. In this case, you'll want to set Internet Explorer as your default browser.

Here's how:

  1. Open Internet Explorer and click the small gear icon.
  2. Choose Internet Options.
  3. Go to the Programs tab.
  4. Under Default Web Browser, click the Make Default button.
  5. Click OK.

If you still can't send your forms, let's use the QuickBooks Tool Hub utility to fix this. Check this article for the full steps and details: Verify and Troubleshoot QuickBooks Desktop and Internet Explorer settings.

I have the same issue with my Gmail will not send forms because my default browser doesn't support the webmail authorization.  I use Right Networks but have Chrome as my browser.

Any thoughts on how to correct this in Chrome as apposed the Internet Explorer

Thanks
