My tax preparer needs a copy of my Quickbooks for the past year. I use Quickbooks Online. How do I get a backup copy?

Hello there, gerken. Let me share some information regarding Online Backup in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Keeping up your QuickBooks company data will ensure that you always have recent copies of your critical accounting records in case of data loss. However, the Online Backup and Restore is only available to QBO Advanced users. With this, you can provide them with accountant access to your QBO since backing up a copy doesn't apply to QuickBooks Plus, Essentials, and Simple Start plans.

Moreover, If you wish to upgrade your subscription, please visit this article for step-by-step guidance: Upgrade or downgrade your QuickBooks Online edition.

Furthermore, you may find additional information on how to backup and restore your data by clicking this article: Back up and restore your QuickBooks Online Advanced company.

Feel free to post again by leaving a reply below if you have other concerns about Online Backup or other QuickBooks-related queries. We're always here to assist you. Stay safe.

Does your tax preparer need to use QB Desktop to export data to TurboTax? You can convert your data to QB Desktop file and send it to your tax preparer.
