My Trial Balance shows a Debit but my General Ledger shows credit. Anyone else have this problem?

I’m glad to see you here, @info-purpleyoga-.

Can you clarify to me this debit and credit in your Trial Balance and General Ledger situation? This way, I can provide the best resolution for you.

I’ll keep an eye on your response. Just add a comment below, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Always take care!

We are Apple users and had bought QB package and, I think, we had a 2016 version.  When QB stopped supporting Apple users we had no option but to change to the online QB.

Recently, my accountant wanted to know why my Trial Balance and General Ledger don’t match.

New Online QB reports
Trial Balance:       2010 AX (debit column)        1,500
General Ledger:  2010 AX                            – 1,500 (usually having a “minus” means a credit!)

I have PDF’s of my 2019 GL & Trial Balance and they appears as follows:
Trial Balance:       2010 AX (debit column)        1,500
General Ledger:  2010 AX                               1,500

In accounting terms I thought having a “–“ on a GL means it’s a credit! Having nothing next to the number means a debit.

Can you illuminate the change?

Thanks
