Question

No outlines on emailed invoices

When I go to send an invoice via email (either web mail or outlook) the pdf version of the invoice doesn't have the outline or our company logo in the top right corner. It will do the same thing if I click save > save as pdf. The pdf will not have the outlines.

However if I print the invoice it will have the outlines. I have double checked my file>printer set up> do not print lines around each field. And it is not selected. I have updated quickbooks as well as my computer.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Hi there, @atomicconst

I'm here to help you fix your printing issues in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

We can download QuickBooks Tool Hub for you to be able to print an invoice  with an outline of your company logo. This built-in utility can fix common errors you encounter when using QBDT.

Follow these steps to proceed:

  1. Make sure to close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the most recent version (1.5.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
  3. Save the file where you can easily find it.
  4. Open the downloaded file (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  5. Follow the on-screen steps to install it.
  6. Double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool.
  7. On the QuickBooks Tool Hub screen, go to the left panel and choose the Program Problems tab.
  8. Click the QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool menu to run it.

Once done, try printing an invoice with a custom template in QuickBooks again. For more details about this process, see this article: Fix common problems and errors with the QuickBooks Desktop Tool Hub.
