I'd be glad to help you fix this issue, @rjkkneip.

There should be a report that will reflect if you've already processed payroll. For now, let's perform a browser troubleshooting steps to see if this is caused by the data stored in your browser's cache. Your browser will collect data to make the loading time faster. However, when there's a program update, there'll be a possibility that this odd behavior will occur.

You can begin by using a private browser and check if there's a payroll report. This is done because it doesn't make use of the cache. If it's available, you can go back to your regular browser and clear the cache. If not, you can use another supported browser.

Here are the shortcut keys to access an incognito browser:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N or

  • Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P or

  • Safari: Hold down + Option + P or

You can check out this article to get the specific records of wages in QuickBooks Online: Run payroll reports.

I've added this article to help you with handling your federal and state taxes in QuickBooks Online: Pay and file payroll taxes online. This reference also contains sub-articles about prior taxes and e-services.

You can post in this thread if you need further assistance or questions. I'd be happy to answer them for you. Stay safe and have a wonderful day.
