Password not accepted by QB Online windows app, I have to signon thru the browser. Any suggestions?

I can sign on to QB Online if I go thru the web browser. However, if I try to signon using the Windows App, the windows app does not accept our password.

Thank you for dropping your post here in the Community, @bookkeeping13.

 

In order for you to log in to your QuickBooks Online using the windows application, you can Reset App Data. This will help you clear out the stored files which impact and causes issues in the program.

 

Also, performing the recommended basic troubleshooting step will resolve the issue.

 

Here’s how. 

 

  1. Click Help on the navigation bar at the top.
  2. Select Reset App Data.
  3. Allow a moment for the process to complete, and then close the app.
  4. Be sure to right-click the app and Run as Administrator when re-opening.

That did not work. Even as running as administrator, I get the message "Hmm, that doesn't seem to work". I click on help and all i get is a spinning circle. I gave up after a few mins.

Our Engineering Team is aware of users not being able to log in through the App due to the error message. To be added to the list of affected users, you'll have to reach out to our Online Support. Once added, you'll receive notifications to your email about updates about the behavior and when it gets resolved. Here's how to get in touch:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online through the web browser.
  2. Go to the (?) Help button at the top-right of the page, then Contact Us.
  3. Type in your question or concern in the Description Box then hit Let's Talk.
  4. Choose how you want to get contacted.

You'll hear from an agent shortly. Once you're connected, you can provide them INV-45179 and they can attach you to the list.
