Problem using account number when doing journal entry

I created chart of accounts with corresponding account numbers. When I tried to make a journal entries it says that the account is not on the lists although it has been set up already.

Thanks for reaching out, @Mong1. 


When you enter the account number or name in the Account field, make sure to select it from the drop-down list. This will ensure you can get that account added to your journal entry.

 

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Accountant menu and select Make General Journal Entries.
  2. In the Account field, enter the account number or name. 
  3. Make sure to select it from the drop-down list.
  4. Enter the necessary info.
  5. Click Save & Close.
