Purge and remove accounts

I have acquired a bad taste for intuit over a variety of Intuit products. credit karma, turbo tax, Quickbooks and more across a range of logins. SO, I WANT OUT! I don't want to told how to reset, I WANT OUT! I want to completely leave Intuit and have my information purged. Purging account information,  because I don't want to discover my stale account information had become part of a future data breach. Unsubscribe, inactive or deleted accounts don't carry the same assurances as having account purged. Inuit Community support is not helpful. For instance a person asks "how to delete MY information", Intuit support provides links for businesses. I am not a business and that "help" is a dead-end.  Is this possible? or is Inuit another Hotel California, "You can check anytime you like, but you can never leave"

Sadly, you can not "purge" your info.  You have to change your credit card to some bogus card number that they can't charge. (Because they WILL keep charging your card, even after canceling your acct).     As far as anything else goes, you would have to manually delete. 

 

Sorry they don't make this easy.

Oh, and just fyi, someone will be along in a bit to tell you different and maybe sugarcoat things.

It isn't the kind of experience I'd like you to have with QuickBooks.

 

Let me share information about purging and deleting your accounts.

 

In QuickBooks, if your account is beyond 60 days old, you can't purge it, but you can cancel the subscription. You will have a one-year view-only access with your account. After that, system will auto-delete them.

 

For other products, I recommend contacting Customer Care team to help you delete your subscription.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Sign-in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Click Help (?).
  3. Select Assistant tab to get started and get quick, personalized answers. Choose a suggested option or type a question or topic you need help with. If you decide you need further help, you can still Talk to a human. You can then choose a way to connect with us:
  • Start a chat with a support expert.
  • Get a callback from the next available expert.

 

On the other hand, if you want to delete your Intuit account, follow the steps below.

 

  1. Go to accounts.intuit.com.
  2. Go to the Data privacy section.
  3. Under Data privacy, select Delete.
  4. Select I no longer want my data to be in QuickBooks.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to delete your information.

 

You will then receive an email for future reference. Cancellation will take up to 45 days. I'm also adding these articles that contains common questions about intuit Privacy:
