Question

QB Desktop payroll not listed in CAMPS account

I received an email message to update my payment information for Intuit QuickBooks Payroll Annual Enhanced Unlimited Employees. When I click on the "Fix It" link in the email it takes me to a blank screen. When I signed in to CAMPS it does not show any payments or orders for any Payroll product, even though we have been using is for at least a year.

How can I access my Payroll subscription so I can update the credit card?

Also - that "Claim" option that is listed in many community answers is not available anywhere that I can see

@Washakie  Nothing specific to add regarding why your CAMPS is blank, but I would caution against following links in e-mails, regardless of whether they appear to be from Intuit or otherwise.

There have even been reports of QuickBooks employees going rogue and doing a lot of damage to customers.

Best security practice is to navigate to the appropriate website manually, every time.

Managing your account's information is crucial to ensure up-to-date tracking of your payment details, Washakie. I'm here to elaborate on this further.

Sometimes, these emails can be deceiving and seek your personal info. If an email prompts you to a blank page or requires you to log in, share personal and payment information, or download files, it's likely a scam. Please avoid interacting with them and consult this guide for more detailed inputs: Identify suspicious activity, phishing scams, and potential fraud.

For more tips on safeguarding your data, check our online security tips and security notices for updates on suspicious emails reported by others.

Furthermore, to protect yourself from these behaviors, report any suspicious emails directly to our security team. You can securely submit this information through our designated website, enabling us to investigate and safeguard our systems and users from potential cyber threats. Here's how:

  1. Visit the Online Security Center page.
  2. Click on Contact Us.
  3. Find and click Report a fake email (or phishing email).

On another note, to access all your QuickBooks service subscriptions, verify the email credentials associated with your desktop Payroll account when logging into CAMPs.

However, if you're unable to access all your products and have used different emails for registration, follow these steps to consolidate your accounts:

  1. Sign out of CAMPs, then go to camps.intuit.com again.
  2. Instead of signing in, select Claim Account to connect accounts with different emails.

Once your accounts are claimed, sign in to see all your products.

For additional guidance, refer to this article: Change, manage, or update your Intuit account with CAMPs.

Moreover, if the issue persists, I suggest contacting our Customer Care Team to have your account reviewed and investigate your case in a secure environment.

In case you want to make any changes or access your files with Intuit, you can refer to these guides:

We're all ears to any additional queries you may have when managing account information in your file. Just let us know in the comments below. Stay safe!

@FateCandylaneT  Huh.

It's strangely kind of relieving to know that even the QB staff can't use this website without triple-posting.

@Washakie

If the license status in CAMPS is Active, it means you received a phishing email. Check your renewal date to make sure.

Thank you, but this was not a phishing message. The message came from QuickBooks and the "Fix" button link only went to a blank page. When I finally got a QB person on the phone, using the Contact Us section under the Help menu, they said they would report the problem with the FIX button to their tech support.

I'm having the same issue. I've been using QB Desktop Payroll for over 25 years. My CAMPs account shows QB versions 2007 and 2012 (which I obviously haven't used in ages), but does not show my current product (Desktop Pro Plus 2024).  I do see "Claim Primary Contact Access", but I am already the primary contact.

I've also tried logging in through My Payroll Service within Quickbooks, but it asks for my email address and phone number to log in. I know the email address is correct, and I've tried every phone number I can think of, both personal and business, but it doesn't work.

Washakie, did you ever find a solution?

December 18, 2024

Thank you for joining the discussion and for sharing the challenges you're experiencing with your CAMPs and Payroll Service account, Kyle. The fact that you have been with us for 25 years is so amazing. I understand how important it is to have accurate information in your Intuit account, and it’s my top priority to help you with this. Let’s work together through some troubleshooting steps to pinpoint the issue that's hindering you from seeing and updating your data.

To find the latest QuickBooks version you have in CAMPs, just click on the Account drop-down menu in the upper-right corner of the page. This will give you a view of all the products associated with your account. For your convenience, I've attached a screenshot below.

On the other hand, you may have forgotten or used an old email address and phone number for your payroll service. To log in and access the My Payroll Service site, you'll need to recover your Intuit account. For your security, only you are authorized to make these changes, as our support team does not have access to update or modify your account information. Once you’re ready, please follow the instructions outlined below:

  1. Take a clear, high-quality photo or scan of your driver's license, state ID, passport, or notarized document.
  2. Fill out the form with your information, and upload your ID or document.
  3. Within one business day, look for an email from no_response@intuit.com with the next steps. If we approve your request, you'll receive a link to reset your password.

You can find more insight about the procedure above in this article: Recover your Intuit Account if you can’t sign in.

Additionally, CAMPs provide you with a convenient way to manage your accounts, products, contacts, billing, and user ID access all in one place. You can easily review your charges, update your payment method, change your credit card, and adjust your billing information as needed. For a complete guide on how to perform these tasks, be sure to check out this article:: Update your Intuit account with CAMPs.

Having gone through our discussion, your QuickBooks version and other Intuit account details, including your email address and phone number, should now be updated. If you have any further questions or concerns regarding the steps I covered, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I'm always here to support you and ensure your success!

I'm pretty sure I have NOT forgotten an old email or phone number, but I tried the recovery process you suggested. It was rejected.

the form asks for my UserID.  What IS that, exactly?  It also asks for my email - I had assumed my email and UserID are the same. Am I really supposed to put the same thing in both fields? Or is the UserID something different?  I don't see a UserID in my product info page, and I've never used anything but my email address to login anywhere that I can recall.

Please, can't someone just look up my account from my License Number or Product Number?
