Question

QBDesktopPro2024

Our company purchased QB Desktop Pro 2024 at the beginning of 2024.  Non-subscription.

Intuit just tried to charge me $999. Expired CC. Not sure why the charge.  But now I am locked out.  Can't access QB software -- all of our records.

How do I actually contact someone at Intuit?

Can I continue to use QB Desktop Pro 2024 without incurring additional annual charges?

Thank you.

Can you access CAMPS and find your license code there?

You can contact someone in QuickBooks Desktop by clicking QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact, @willjp. Let me show you how to do it.

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to the QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us option from the Help menu.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Describe your issue, then select Continue.
  5. Sign in to your Intuit account. Click Continue and then Continue with my account.
  6. You'll receive a single-use code. Enter it and select Continue.
  7. Choose to chat with us or Have us call you.

Additionally, the QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2024 version is no longer offered. However, we do offer QBDT 2024 Pro Plus, which is subscription-based you'll need to have an active subscription to access it.

Don't hesitate to return to this forum or respond directly to this message if you encounter any further challenges with your QBDT account or other QuickBooks Desktop tasks. We're here to assist you with any aspect of QBDT that you find challenging.

Hi Melrose,

Thank you so much for your comments and your advice.  I am neww to the community and just tried to send you a reply.  It seems it may not have gone through, so I'll recreate it.  Forgive me if you've already received this.

I will use your steps to contact someone, although I thought I already did just that.  But maybe not.

We bought QPDTPro24 approx one year ago, and intended for it to be our last copy of QB -- as we are both 75 and trying to close the business.  But we certainly need access to our QB records/files in the future for taxes, records and client info.  When you say that QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2024 is no longer offered, I thought that is the version we have.  We no longer need support, just to be able to access what's there.  If that is not possible, then I have misunderstood.  But we would certainly not want to pay $999 to go onto another version.  So I hope I can reach someone and find out.

Thanks so much again.

Have a nice Thanksgiving.

Best regards, @willjp ( or Bill)

You can use the trial version of QB Desktop 2024 Enterprise to access your archive file for good.
