I'll help with your concern about customizing reports in QuickBooks Online, @dspack.

It's possible that a browser issue is causing QuickBooks Online (QBO) unable to customize reports and get support by chat or call. You can perform some steps that can resolve common browser hurdles when doing tasks in QBO.

First, use an incognito/private browsing session or a different browser. Follow these keyboard shortcuts to open an incognito session:

  • Ctrl Shift N  for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl Shift P for Firefox
  • Control Option +if you're using Safari
  • Ctrl Shift P for Microsoft Edge

You can also use any of these browsers if you have them installed in your computer. Once done, you can go back to QBO and check if you can already see the Filter option.

If you're able to do that, proceed to clear cache and other saved data files within your browser. Here's an article as a guide: Clear Cache And Cookies To Fix Issues When Using QuickBooks Online.

On the other hand, you can contact our Care Support team by logging in to your account and following these steps:

  1. Click the (?)Help icon on the upper right.
  2. Go to Search and then select Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern and click Continue.
  4. Choose to Chat with us or get a Callback.

I'd also like to share these articles with you for more details about viewing your financial data:

Let me know if you have other concerns with running reports in QuickBooks. I'm always ready to give my hand. Stay safe and healthy!

Went through these scenarios with a customer service rep on Wednesday, which did not resolve the issue.  I've reached out via Twitter and hope someone else from Intuit QuickBooks can assist with this issue.
