Hello

I am looking for help as I still use QB Desktop Pro 2018 for bookkeeping, (general ledger and accounts payable) but no additional features. I was still able to import qbo files from bank and credit cards but the past month it started telling me I need to update to access Intuit Account. When I click on learn how the link has nothing to do with that. I login to my account through website fine so I still have access to account. When I login in still shows Quickbooks 2018 Active so I thought all was solved. Today it tells me my 28 day reminder is over. What can I do to still use the basics?

Thanks

Since last year, they have been sending notifications to users of outdated QB Desktop (e.g. 2018) to create an Intuit ID account and connect it to your company file(s). We may have to download the latest installer file and reinstall our QB program to fix this issue. If you are still having problems and only need one user to access QB Desktop, you can use the trial version of QBD 2021 to upgrade your data and use it for good if necessary.

I can help you get past this to continue working on your account efficiently, artamous.

Intuit requires you to log in to your account if your company file in QuickBooks isn't linked to your Intuit account. This ensures you have enhanced control over user access and simplifies the process of seamlessly connecting all Intuit products and functionality.

If you prefer not to log in, you have the option to click on the Remind button to stop the prompt for seven (7) days. However, please note that after 28 or 42 days, you'll no longer be able to bypass the sign-in requirement.

In addition to the provided option, you can use the keyboard shortcut Alt + F4 and then click the Cancel button as an alternative method.

To prevent the need for an Intuit login every time you open your QuickBooks Desktop company file, you can refer to this article that provides step-by-step instructions.: Stay signed in to QuickBooks Desktop. This link can help you avoid the reminder from appearing when accessing your QBDT company.

I'm here to assist you with any further inquiries or concerns about account management or any other aspects of your account. You can add them in the comment below.

With e-mail I got I am not seeing where my reply showed up. If the other one shows somewhere I should get other notifications (quickbooks needs to make seeing your postings and replies easier/more direct) so to keep short. I am at the point that I am past the 28 days. I thought I thought logging in online had me past this part, however, now I can't get where I can open company file to use alt+4 or any other functions. The screen saying past 28 days cannot be closed

Thanks again
