Quickbooks Desktop Premier NonProfit Version vs Quickbooks Online., or hosting desktop

I am currently using Quickbooks Desktop Premier NonProfit version and considering switching to Quickbooks Online or having someone host QB desktop so we can use it remotely. Does anyone have experience with this? Wondering the exact differences in desktop vs online. Reports or customization problems? If hosting, which companies are better/cheaper? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thank you for reaching out to us here on the Community forum. I can share with you some information about QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) and Online (QBO).

QBO and QBDT are two different platforms of QuickBooks. They may produce the same reports, but the fields and customization available may differ. You can check out these links to know more about the reports available on each subscription:

On the other hand, if you want to set up a multi-user network (hosting) so computers on your network can access your files, you can follow these steps (Your server computer should be the only computer with this feature on.).

Open your QBDT file.
Go to the File menu, then hover over to Utilities.
Select Host Multi-User Access. Then select Yes to confirm.

Now, you can host your company files over your network. When you want to access your multi-user network, sign in as a user with admin rights on your server computer and workstations.
