Quickbooks is pushing me away as a 25 yr customer
My subscription to QBO Advanced needs to be renewed. I did receive at least two emails saying I needed to do that by today and if not today, it'll be cancelled. They provided the date it needed to be done by (7/18) and the amount ($1620/yr). I log in today (7/18) to pay for another year. They said it was cancelled already, and that I can resubscribe to a new annual rate of $2160/yr, which is 33% more.
I called their 877# on top of this page and quickly fell into a convo with two different reps. All together, I was on the phone for over 70 minutes. I explained the above situation and even sent in screen shots of the emails. The 2nd rep told me she saw the $1620 rate in her computer, but said her higher ups would not honor it. They were adamant that the only option was to pay $2160 one-time. And there's no option to downgrade or switch monthly. I'm now looking for alternatives to QB.
I was a cheerleader for QB. Started with them in 1997. It was a big box with a manual the size of a novel, and you still had to buy a companion book to figure it all out. But I loved that. It was comprehensive. I bought new software from the store every 2 or three years, depending on added features. I'm a Mac user now and still have QB for Mac 2021 on my laptop, all the while holding a QBO subscription in an attempt to figure it out (desktop version is far superior, IMHO, but it was my understanding they wanted to phase that out.
I'm trying to demonstrate that I'm a lifelong customer of QB, who feels that they're incorrectly applying the same amount with zero options other than to pay the higher amount, despite emails saying otherwise. Bait and Switch, and I feel jaded by QB and my cheerleading days are ending. I would like them to honor the correct price.
