QuickBooks Live Clean-Up and Monthly Bookkeeping failed our small nonprofit. No refund offered.
We bought Intuit QuickBooks Online Clean-up service in April 2024 to organize our books from 2023 and 2024 until June and the Live Bookkeeping service to keep up with our account after the cleanup was completed. The Clean-up documents were delivered July 25, 2024. The live bookkeeper assigned to us said that she was unable to maintain our books because of errors in the Clean-Up that prevented her from being able to reconcile our account. We had to cancel our monthly bookkeeping service so that we would be allowed to reach the level of customer service that deals with clean up. After weeks of back and forth and conflicting information on customer service, we were told in a phone call Oct 25, that they were going to fix the clean-up errors. This was also reiterated in the chat on Oct 28. Then, we were told on a phone call Nov 8 that they could not help us with clean-up, that our books were too complicated. Our 990 is due in days, and we have wasted countless hours and thousands of dollars for books that are still not accurate and not categorized according to their advertised services. We had to cancel our full service over the weekend to avoid getting charged another $500 for no guarantee of service, so now we don't have any messages in our Live Expert chat. Fortunately, we have saved everything for reference. This is a disastrous situation for our small nonprofit organization. We are located in a rural area without access to an abundance of professional services, so we depended on this solution for our bookkeeping needs. At the least, we need a refund for the Clean-Up service that was not performed as described in the promotional materials. Our 990 is due in 4 days and we are having to incur even more expense and time to finish the job we thought we were taking care of back in the spring.
