Question

Quickbooks made mistakes on the reports it listed. It counted credit payments to credit card, twice each month and also subtracted out my deposits. Why?

Why did it count out my deposits? Why did it debit my account twice for credit card payments?

I'll help you fix this, subo711-aol-com.

Keep in mind that your financial institution controls what and how information is received by QuickBooks. To correct this and keep your books in order., you can exclude the transaction from the Banking page. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu.
  2. Select the Banking tab, then choose the appropriate bank account.
  3. Head to the For Review tab.
  4. Tick the checkbox of the downloaded credit card payment.
  5. Select Exclude.

I would also recommend coordinating with your bank to further check why your credit card payments are counted twice and subtracted from your deposits.

Additionally, here's a reference that you can read to help manage your bank transactions in QBO: Categorize and match online bank transactions.
