Hi there, @mitchillzaircon.

I see you've been logged out of your QuickBooks Online account automatically. I'm here to provide details on the timeout security feature.

QuickBooks Online employs a timeout feature for your protection. This feature prevents unauthorized users from accessing your data while you are away from the screen.

A message usually appears when you're inactive for some time. You can also change the duration if you want to stay longer from your account. The default mode is one hour and can be extended to up to three hours.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to Settings, then Account and Settings.
  2. Choose Advanced.
  3. From the Other preferences section.
  4. Select one, two, or three hours from the Sign me out if inactive dropdown menu.
  5. Choose Save and then Done.

You can refer to this screenshot below to visualize the steps:

Furthermore, I'm adding this quick recap of the navigation menu for the fundamental tasks at the heart of your company. It consists of creating invoices, linking bank accounts, and categorizing financial transactions. This article demonstrates the functions available in each menu tab: Understand the navigation menu in QuickBooks Online.

Alternatively, you can alter your QuickBooks details and password. Need to update your information? Feel free to visit this page for your guide: Change your email, user ID, or password for QuickBooks Online.
