Question

Recently, something changed with the Management Reports. When I indent a bullet, it adds another blank bullet above when I view the report in Preview mode. Any ideas?

This is for QuickBooks Online. I have a list of bullets and want to add sub-bullets below by indenting. When I add the line for the sub-bullet, it adds a blank bullet above. This is not visible when in edit mode, but is visible in preview. I brought this issue to the attention of "QuickBooks Care Team" and after three months of waiting for an answer they responded "we found that we did not receive enough information to complete an in-depth investigation to your concern" even though I provided screenshots to them. I was always able to have sub-bullets until they changed something with the reporting earlier this year. Any help would be appreciated.

I hear your sentiments, JAM3guitar. I can assist you in performing some troubleshooting to get rid of the additional bullets showing in your Management Reports.

Since there's an additional bullet showing on your end, we can open your account in incognito mode to see if this has something to do with your browser. Whenever you visit a website, it saves some information from the web page in its cache and cookies.

Here's how to access incognito mode in some of the most commonly used web browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If you're able to get rid of additional bullets by browsing privately, it's safe to say that it's being caused by the browser. It can be fixed by clearing your cache and cookies.

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our customer support team again. By doing so, they can securely access your account and investigate the cause.
