I can show you ways to have a summary report showing only the list of customers and revenue, @erik13.

We can customize the Sales by Customer Type detail report to show the data you only want. To proceed, please follow the steps below:

  1. In your QBO account, proceed to the Reports menu.
  2. Search and select the Sales by Customer Type detail report.
  3. Click the Customize button.
  4. In the Report period section, choose the date.
  5. Under Rows and columns, put a checkmark on Customers and Amount only.
  6. Under Filter, select the box next to Customer and click All.
  7. Once done, click Run report.

Thank you for your response but unfortunately that didn't help.  That did group by customer type but now it is still several line items for every invoice.  If I had 12 customers that month - it should have 12 lines with the total of the invoice.  If each invoice had 20 lines - this report will generate 240 lines and I need to manually add each line.  Here is what the report looks like

I need Sales by Customer Type SUMMARY report also.  Silly that it is not already available.  I had QBE for years and it was readily available.  All the Detail is unnecessary for our purposes and only services to create a total muddy, long report that we have to export to Excel and manipulate EVERY time we want to view current data.

Doesn't any other QBO user out there want to see an easy summary report showing how much revenue is being generated by each vertical that their company services?
