I'm trying to send an email to our customers and I get a message saying that our account settings are out of date. When I hit the FIX IT button it doesn't do anything.

Hello there, @Musical1958. I'll share some details on how to resolve this issue.

In your case, we can perform the basic troubleshooting steps to help fix your browser to work better and faster. Cookies and caches might block you from accessing the Fix it option and sending your email. Let me share with you some steps.

Here's how:

  1. Restart your browser.
  2. Log in to your account in an incognito or private browser to see if you can fix the error and email your customer. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N

Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P

Safari: press Command Shift N

If it works on the private browser, you can go back to the regular browser and clear your browser's cache. Then see if you can successfully send your email to your customers. You can use another supported browser if the incognito window doesn't work.

Moreover, please know that you can only use outlook to send emails to your customer.

Once done with the basic troubleshooting steps and still get the same concern, I'd like to ask for screenshots of the error so we can share the exact resolution.

I'll be around if you need more help managing your account in QuickBooks. Take care!
