Question

The last update to my QB2022 Pro install on 3/11/2022 returned the next opening of my company with 2/16/2022 latest entries. How could this happen, how fix?

I'm guessing the wrong QBB got used in restoration. Where does QB file the QBW and QBB files in the Windows 10 file structure?  Better ideas?

I'm here to help share how you can retrieve your files, @Kenneth Hammer.

In QuickBooks Desktop, the Documents folder on your computer is the default location used to store your company data. You can restore the latest backup copy of your company data to retrieve your files. I'll walk you through the steps on how to accomplish this.

  1. Go to File and then select Open or Restore Company.
  2. Choose the Restore a backup copy selection and then click Next.
  3. Select Local backup and then click Next.
  4. Find and open the latest backup copy (.qbb) you've created.
  5. Click Save.
