Question

Trying to pay taxes through QBselfemployed. I set up the EFTPS, have a PIN and Password. I hit PAY NOW in QB, it asked SSN not EIN. I can sign into EFTPS directly w/EIN.

How do I change the prompt for SSN to EIN so it will be accepted?

I want to ensure you'll be able to pay your federal estimated quarterly taxes in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), @scottpmaccracken.

There are different ways how you can pay your estimated taxes online. It can be directly from the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System website, or if you have the Tax bundle you can pay right away within your QBSE account.

Based on the information provided, it seems like you have the Tax bundle but wasn't unable to pay as you're prompted to enter SSN and not EIN. To further check the issue, I recommend paying the IRS directly to verify your EFTPS info and PIN.

You can go to eftps.gov and select Make a payment. Fill out the information required and follow the onscreen steps.

To learn more about paying and recording taxes in QBSE, refer to these resources:
