Upgrading QB Desktop & Switching Computers

Do you need to upgrade your QB Desktop 2015 to QB Desktop 2023 OR switch to QB Online?

Do you want to upgrade to a newer version of QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT)? If so, then you can upgrade your QBDT 2015 from your old desktop. QuickBooks makes it easy for customers to upgrade. You'll be seeing a prompt message that there's a new version. 

Here's how to do it:

1. When you’re ready, select Upgrade Now.
2. Select Keep old version on my computer if you want to keep your current QuickBooks. Then select Let’s go. QuickBooks downloads install and activate the new version for you. It updates your company file(s).
3. When the upgrade is done, select Open QuickBooks.

In case you did not see any prompt, you can follow the steps below:

1. Go to Help, and then Upgrade QuickBooks.
2. Select the version you want to upgrade to, then select Upgrade Now.
3. You can keep a copy of your current version of QuickBooks. Select Keep old version on my computer, then select Let’s go.

Once done, you can install your new QBDT version on a new computer. You can use the Migrator Tool to move QuickBooks Desktop and up to three company files to another computer.
