Hi, I want to open a new username and block him from seeing expenses/employees/accounting. Let him have the option only for sales (quotes, orders, invoices). There is a possibility ? Please help

Hello, lilachb.

It's definitely possible to create a new user that can only use customer-related transactions, and I'd be more than happy to show you how.

We can set the user's access rights to Limited, then use only the Customer option. This way, they can only create quotes or estimates, and manage invoices. They won't have access to the areas you mentioned, like the Employees page.

Here are the detailed steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Manage users.
  2. Click the Add user
  3. Set the User type to Standard user, then click Next.
  4. Under Select access rights, set it to Limited then select Customers only.
  5. Hit Next, then set other user permissions.
  6. On the next page, enter their name and the email address for their sign-in ID.
  7. Click Save

An invitation email will be send to their email address. All the user has to do is to accept that invitation, and they can start creating quotes and invoices.
