Question

Was forced to "upgrade" from intuit online to quickbooks. There is no menu option for "expenses" and as I understand that is the only way to see contractor payments

I have only 4 menu options to the left of the screen: Payroll, Reports, Payroll Tax, My Accountant. After using intuit for 12 years with ZERO issues, I'm about to cancel this subscription and start over somewhere else. It's incredibly frustrating and unnecessary. I never asked to be "upgraded"!!!

I want this to be taken care of, @dhm37.

Let's find the QuickBooks Online account that you used to have the Expenses menu. You may have used two different accounts with the same login credentials. That said, you can check it on the Gear icon and see if you have the Switch company option.

Once you clicked on it, you'll have to see the QuickBooks Online companies that are bound to your email address.

If you're unable to see this option, I'd suggest reaching our Customer Support team to check the accounts associated with your email address. They got tools to help you see the companies you have in QuickBooks Online. This account may be another subscription and you may need to cancel this to avoid additional billing fees.

Here's how to contact them:

  1. From the upper right, select Help.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Type your query and then Let's talk.
  4. Choose to start Messaging or get a Callback.

I've added our support hours so you can contact them at your most convenient time.

Additionally, you can visit the Account management page to see more topics for your Intuit Account like updating company info.

If you have other concerns about your account in QuickBooks, feel free to add them here. I'll keep my notifications open.
