I'm here to ensure you're able to add your accountant to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, @lbekah72. This way, you're able to get the help you deserve in managing your business' financial data.

You're able to add your accountant to access your account regardless of your QBO plan. With this, there isn't a need to upgrade your current subscription when it already suits your business needs. Then, make sure you have your accountant's info (i.e., First and Last name, and Email) to invite them as users into your QBO account. Whenever you're ready, here's how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary or master admin.
  2. Go to the Gear icon.
  3. Select Manage users.
  4. Choose the Accounting firms tab.
  5. Click Invite.
  6. Enter your accountant's info and select Save.

I've attached a screenshot below that shows the last three steps.

To learn more about usage limits, how they affect your account, and what to do if you've exceeded them, I'd recommend checking out this article: About usage limits in QuickBooks Online.

Also, you're able to manage the user's role and limit their access to specific tasks in QBO. If you wish to learn more about this, you can refer to this article: User roles and access rights in QuickBooks Online. It includes topics about roles that count and don't count toward user limits and standard access rights, to name a few.

Let me know if you have other concerns about adding your accountant and managing users in QBO. I'm just around to help. Take care always.
