Question

When I run a P&L report, it does not pull the specific categories I place expenses in. So now I have to do it manually. I also can't export to excel

I want to ensure this is taken care of, @jacquew-vonbechm.

Usually, this error occurs when there's too much cache in your browser. To fix this, let's perform some browser troubleshooting steps. Let's start by opening QuickBooks Online (QBO) through an incognito window. It's the best place to identify web issues. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If it works using the private window, go back to the regular browser and clear its cache. We advise customers to clear them out periodically to prevent and fix web issues. You can also try using a different browser. Here's the link: System requirements for QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If the same thing happens, you may use other supported browsers. It could be that the one you're currently using right now has a temporary problem with QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I'm also adding this article to help you review and download your transactions to keep your financial data in QBSE accurate: Export transactions and get reports in QuickBooks Self-Employed. It includes a tip about making changes or reorganizing transactions.
