Question

When I run the Sales by Client detail, I only can get one client, even when "All Clients" is set. This report worked previously (it's saved) but doesn't now.

Running Sales by Client Detail, Sort by Client, All Clients. Only the first client (alphabetical) with data for the period shows up. I can go client by client and get data, but I can't get all clients to show. This report worked previously, but doesn't anymore (I have this as a saved custom report).

I'm here to ensure you can get all your clients show in your sales reports without any further delay, @ellounge.

Issues like missing or unresponsive buttons in QuickBooks Online are usually the result of outdated or corrupt cache files in your web browser. Browser caches help speed up basic browsing that allows you to save more time when loading repetitive images or information. However, it can impact processes and cause this unexpected behavior when your browser accumulates too much historical data. Not to worry, you can clear them in just a few easy steps.

In the meantime, we can start by accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

If it's responsive, I recommend that you clear it's cache. By clearing the browser's cache, you can remove that historical data and access QuickBooks with a clean slate.

Check out our guide on running reports in QuickBooks Online. It also includes resources that I'm sure you'll find helpful in getting your desired reports.

Please feel free to reach out to us here with all of your questions and concerns. I'm determined to ensure your success.

Thanks.  That wasn't it.  Found that it was actually a different issue with the way the report was sizing in the browser window, so it was working correctly, but I couldn't scroll, so it looked off.  I figured that out when viewing in this other window.

Thanks -
